Maria's Portuguese Table

Author and executive director Maria Lawton, a cooking enthusiast known as the “Azorean Greenbean,” blends her love of Portuguese food, traditions and culture in her cooking and travel series, Maria’s Portuguese Table.

Her food and travel odyssey includes stops in the heart of the Azorean islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, to vibrant Portuguese communities across the United States. Along the way, she discovers the influence of Portuguese cuisine throughout the world, and how it has migrated and evolved along with generations of Portuguese immigrants.
