Meet the Brass sisters, two passionate food explorers on a mission to tackle their culinary bucket list. In each episode, cookbook authors Marilyn and Sheila Brass “flirt” their way into chefs’ kitchens to uncover unique ethnic delights, then head home to create tantalizing cross-cultural mash-ups.
The series follows the Boston-based ladies through mash-up adventures in which a “modern” burger mixes an Indian dosa with a cheeseburger, or a pastrami ramen noodle kugel recipe. Episodes find the Flirts working culinary magic with baklava crust milk tart, curried golden raisin and cashew rugelach, and “Bunny Chow” pasticcio bread bowls with turmeric hollandaise.
