Andreas Viestad

For three seasons, Norwegian Andreas Viestad has integrated his remarkable knowledge of Scandinavian cuisine, culture and history, as well as his passion for eating and living well, into his public television series, New Scandinavian Cooking with Andreas Viestad.

The award-winning food journalist and author also published two English-language cookbooks, Kitchen of Light — New Scandinavian Cooking with Andreas Viestad in 2003 and Where Flavor Was Born: Recipes and Culinary Travels Along the Indian Ocean Spice Route in 2007.

Andreas writes a monthly column for the Washington Post entitled “The Gastronomer.”
