Spain… on the road Again will air on Create Mondays and Wednesdays beginning January 12. The show features Oscar®-winner Gwyneth Paltrow, chef Mario Batali, author/journalist and public television host Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols on an unscripted, anything-goes, cross-country road-trip through the cuisine, art, history, culture and music of Spain. Spain… on the road Again will be featured in its entirety on a January 10 marathon on the network.
Culinary icon Jacques Pépin returns with a new line-up of healthy, home-cooked meals in Jacques Pépin: More Fast Food My Way, airing on Create Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning January 5. This season, Pépin creates nearly 100 delicious recipes for every occasion — from a light snack to an elegant dinner — using readily available fresh foods, supermarket staples and simple techniques. Taking inspiration from around the world, Pépin's lamb stew, paella and Tibetan bread incorporate Asian, Latin American and diverse European influences and are enhanced by his classic French background. Each episode contains four or more dishes, including one-minute recipes for croque monsieur tidbits, an instant red-pepper dip or butter bean canapés, along with Jacques' valuable tips and techniques. The show will also be featured in a January 3rd marathon on the network.
Master woodworker Scott Phillips crisscrosses the country to showcase the finest examples of woodworking in American Woodshop, airing on Create Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning January 26. With a personable style and knowledge of his craft, Phillips shares his reverence for the intricacies of woodworking with his viewers.
Seasoned With Spirit, airing on Create Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning January 15, offers viewers a culinary celebration of America’s bounty and combines Native-American history and culture with delicious, healthy recipes inspired by indigenous foods. The series includes recipes for simple comfort foods such as sassafras shrimp gumbo to more exotic dishes such as grilled buffalo tenderloin topped with chokecherry jus, wild spinach with cholla buds and chiltepine peppers, tapary beans with ribs and ash bread.
Moment of Luxury, a show conceived and hosted by award-winning international designer Bill Stubbs, makes the experience of “luxury” — excellence, comfort and exclusivity — accessible to Americans on any budget. Filmed in high definition from beautiful locations in the U.S. and around the world, Stubbs offers viewers tips on how to bring good, yet affordable, living into their homes and daily lives through home design, food, culture and art. The show airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning January 27.
