Smart Gardening

Smart Gardening shares the joys and beauty of gardening. This magazine-style series takes viewers into gardens across the country to explore and share smart gardening tips. Segments revolve around three separate locations: the greenhouse, courtyard and kitchen. Imported from Europe, the Studio Greenhouse is the place to pot plants, divide perennials, discuss insects, learn to prune, talk about compost and soil composition, or discover how to care for exotic orchids. The Studio Courtyard setting is the perfect place for conversations with experts about topics pertaining to plant selection, wildlife, water conservation, outdoor furniture, plant care and landscape design. In the Studio Kitchen, produce, flowers and plants are prepared and discussed as they make the transition from the outdoors to the living area. In addition, on-location segments take viewers to places of extraordinary beauty where innovative and practical techniques are taught.
