Richardson Highway: Roadhouses and Recreation

Host Heather Taggard leads viewers down the rugged Richardson Highway from Fairbanks, in the heart of Alaska's Interior, to Valdez, the state's coastal oil port. Viewers will sample delicacies at Delta Meat and Sausage and explore Black Rapids Lodge. Next it's off to the Arctic Man competition, one of the world's toughest downhill ski races, and an exciting snowmobile race, all in one. The journey ends with a guided heli-skiing trip and an aquatic expedition through the glacial waters of Prince William Sound.

Dalton Highway: Natural Resources and Nature

Anywhere, Alaska features host Chip Brookes following the Trans-Alaska Pipeline along the Dalton Highway, or "Haul Road." The trek takes him from Coldfoot Camp, once the bustling center of pipeline construction, to a tour of Prudhoe Bay as he dares a dip in the frigid Arctic Ocean. Along the way he explores the Kahalabuk Memorial Prayer Chapel, chats with artists and scientists in their camps and ventures into the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, more well-known as controversial, oil-rich, ANWR.

Denali: Mountains and Milestones

Anywhere, Alaska host Heather Taggard explores Denali Park, Alaska's most famous tourism destination. She hikes into the 6-million acres of the national park back country where she encounters some of the Park's infamous wildlife residents. Taggard continues on to explore historic Talkeetna, the model for Cicely, Alaska -- the quirky town featured in the network television show Northern Exposure. Her journey ends with a flight-seeing tour to Denali Base Camp where climbers start their ascents of Denali, also known as Mt. McKinley, which, at 20,320 feet, is the tallest mountain in North America.

Marine Highway: Fish and Festivity

Host Chip Brookes takes in the stunning sights along the routes of Alaska's Marine Highway System. Beginning in the capitol city of Juneau with tours of the Governor's Mansion and historic Treadwell Mine, he fishes for halibut and watches whales breach in Fredrick Sound. After kayaking and visiting totem pole carvers in Klawock, he drops by the Kake Dog Salmon Festival, an eclectic mix of Native ceremonies and picnic games.
