Sara Moulton

Sara Moulton
Sara Moulton is one of the most beloved culinary personalities on air and in print. As Gourmet magazine’s executive chef and food editor for Good Morning America, Sara has been at the forefront of making the kitchen fun and accessible through the power of TV — earning trust and admiration along the way. She is thrilled to be hosting her newest cooking series, Sara’s Weeknight Meals, on public television.

As perhaps the most respected woman in the food world, Sara brings years of training and experience to every project. She graduated with high honors from the Culinary Institute of America, worked in restaurants for seven years, taught at The Institute of Culinary Education and co-founded the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, an “old girls network” for women in the culinary industry.

Her TV career began when no less than Julia Child trusted Sara to work behind the scenes for her on PBS and Good Morning America, a position that ripened by 1997 into on-camera work. By then Sara had begun hosting the Food Network’s Cooking Live.

Six years and over 1,200 hour-long shows later, Cooking Live ended its run on March 31, 2002. Sara’s Secrets began the next day and continues to air seven days a week. She was consistently watched by millions of loyal viewers with her practical advice on culinary disasters. “Other TV chefs may own famous restaurants and perform with theatrical flair,” noted TV Guide’s Herma Rosenthal, “But Moulton’s the one you can actually picture popping over to help you fix the lumpy gravy or the fallen soufflé.”

Sara is the author of two best-selling cookbooks; Sara Moulton Cooks at Home, published in 2002, and most recently, Sara’s Secret for Weeknight Meals, published in 2005. Sara’s mission as both author and television host it to get viewers in the kitchen, cooking delicious and healthy food at home and to dine with family and friends.

Sara lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
